I’ve been thinking a lot lately about taking chances. And how it’s really just about overcoming your fears. Because the truth is, every time you take a big risk in your life, no matter how it ends up, you’re always glad you took it. ~ Scrubs

Let me share a brief biography of the hottest man on earth. ♥
“Maybe you don’t like your job, maybe you didn’t get enough sleep. Well, nobody likes their job, nobody got enough sleep. Maybe you just had the worst day of your life, but you know, there’s no escape and there’s no excuse, so just suck it up and be nice.” - Ani DiFranco ‘Pixie’

She will be back to perform her number 1 singles and many more live. Her Teenage Dream becomes the first album in Billboard’s Pop Songs chart to generate five No. 1s and she’s also the first female artist ever to notch five Hot 100 No. 1s from one album. Watch Katy Perry California Dreams Manila Tour 2012 on January 22, 2012 at SM Mall of Asia Concert Ground. Tickets will be out this week!
[Sigh] So last week, I’ve heard the news that my super girl crush Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson will be having a concert again here in Manila. *STOKED* I immediately became frantic about it even though I know for a fact that Katy’s not good singing live songs. Nevertheless, I promised to myself that I should witness her freakin’ concert.
But still I am having doubts on this. Is this even legit? Producers are claiming that the concert will be part of the California Dreams tour, but Katy’s website says that that tour ends in December. And no offense, but they used Comic Sans in the poster. Who makes posters with Comic Sans font anyway?!
I’m hoping that someone who’s credible enough can verify this news.
Sleeping Beauty. Lucy (Emily Browning) is a young university student possessed by a kind of radical passivity. She lets a flip of a coin decide the outcome of a random sexual encounter and she displays an uncomplaining patience when facing the repetitions of her various menial jobs that fund her studies. One day she answers an ad in the student newspaper and interviews for a job to be a lingerie waitress. But she is secretly being initiated into a world of strange new work; one where she will have to give into absolute submission to her clients by being sedated; becoming a Sleeping Beauty. Eventually this unnerving experience begins to bleed into her daily life and she finally develops the will to break the spell by discovering what happens to her while she sleeps. — (C) Sundance Selects
Considering that the lead character is near naked for almost half the film, it’s remarkable just how unprovocative Julia Leigh’s debut Sleeping Beauty feels. But don’t get me wrong, I really don’t like this movie :| It’s a film where nothing ever happens, and yet everything is mean-spirited.
“Anti-Planking Act of 2011”
AN ACT PRESCRIBING A UNIVERSAL CODE OF STUDENT CONDUCT WHEREBY PLANKING BY A STUDENT OR GROUP OF STUDENTS DURING STREET RALLIES OR SIMILAR PROTEST ACTIONS AS A FORM OF REDRESS OF GRIEVANCE BE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND APPLYING APPROPRIATE SANCTIONS THEREOF
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:
SECTION 1. This Act shall be known as the “Anti-Planking Act of 2011”.
SEC. 2. A universal Code of Student Conduct is hereby prescribed where planking as a form of redress of grievance be strictly prohibited and appropriate sanctions be applied for violations thereof.
SEC. 3. Under this Act, planking is when a student or group of students lies face down in unusual locations especially in streets or other public places, keeping the hands along the body and the feet outstretched and especially where such act is meant as a form of redress of grievance against government.
SEC. 4 Every bonafide student from any school, college or university shall conduct himself with high degree of discipline and propriety.
SEC. 5. The Department of Education in the case of elementary and high school students and the Commission on Higher Education in the case of college students shall draft a universal Code of Student Conduct to carry out the provisions of this Act.
Further, DepEd and CHED, respectively shall issue appropriate rules and regulations to effectively carry out intent and purpose of this Act.
SEC. 6. This Act shall take effect ninety (90) days after its publication in the Official Gazette and in at least three (3) newspapers of general circulation.
Really now?”This legislation is even more useless and absurd than the act of planking itself.”In addition, Philippine legislators should not waste our resources and taxes with this kind of crap. Don’t they have better ways to improve the quality of life? Also, should we be worried now about the country’s idiocracy rate? Stupidity at its finest!
Someday I’ll find someone like you ♥

Los libros que me mantienen sana.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”
I’ve always been a bookworm for as long as I can remember. But due to my erratic schedule and other extraneous variables available, I wasn’t able to allot enough time for this particular hobby of mine. Fortunately, I’ve managed to get back and explore the wonders of reading. I just want to share these books that kept me sane for the past few days.

DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth
In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she’s chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she’s kept hidden from everyone because she’s been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves … or it might destroy her.

DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver
There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it. Then, at last, they found the cure. Now, everything is different. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But then, with only ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

ONE DAY by David Nicholls
‘I can imagine you at forty,’ she said, a hint of malice in her voice. ‘I can picture it right now.’ He smiled without opening his eyes. ‘Go on then.’ 15th July 1988. Emma and Dexter meet for the first time on the night of their graduation. Tomorrow they must go their separate ways. So where will they be on this one day next year? And the year after that? And every year that follows? Twenty years, two people, ONE DAY.

LIGO NA U, LAPIT NA ME by Eros Atalia
Karl Vladimir Lennon J. Villalobos, aka Intoy, is secretly in love with his friend Jenny, the most beautiful girl in the campus. Jenny is rich and quirky; Intoy is street-smart and ordinary. But this friendship is not simple, since Jenny has bestowed on Intoy some perks and privileges, including going to bed with her on the condition that they will not fall in love with each other. Before graduation, Intoy feels that he has to shed his pretensions of being astig and finally profess his love for Jenny. But he is devastated to learn that Jenny is pregnant. Worse, Jenny tells him: “Don’t worry, this is not yours.” Based on the bestselling novel of Eros S. Atalia, Ligo na U, Lapit na Me is an examination of postmodern love and relationship and the way this generation deals with their love and fear.
Reading is one of the best hobbies a person can have. But it’s sad to know that majority of today’s generation aren’t introduced to the fabulous world of books. If you want to break the monotony of a lazy, uncreative and boring life, go and grab an interesting book. Turn the pages to explore a new world filled with information and ingenuity.
Both men and women want to cheat. Humans want to cheat. But it’s fighting that temptation to do so that defines you. It’s what separates you from being a great partner and a piece of shit.
For example, every time somebody irritates me, I want to punch them in the face. It’s a temptation. Yet, I have never acted upon it and struck someone. The temptation to hurt a person has never been so great (yet) that it needed to illicit that response. If I literally did punch everyone who pisses me off, I become the bigger asshole and a society cancer.
It’s similar in a relationship. We are all tempted at times. Don’t be a cancer to your relationship. Don’t be an asshole. Put the dick down and remember what a great thing you have going for you…and what a great person you could be if you just restrain yourself.
